Another One..

The Mets have picked up Carlos Delgados’ $12 mil. option for the ‘09 season today.

He also had a $4 mil. buyout.

I love Delgado. Sure he was terrible the first half of the year last season, but he definitely made it up hitting .271 with 38 homers and 115 RBI. His defense improved also. He got down and dirty when he needed to.

Hopefully they won’t trade him. I say give him one more year. He’s good for our clubhouse and will hopefully give us another big year with the bat.

Besides, he’s adorable. Like a big giant teddy bear >.<

The Mets have signed NL Comeback Player of the Year award winner Fernando Tatis to a one year contract!

I like that.

Tatis, whose amazing story we’re all familiar with, hit .297 with us in the ‘08 season.

• .392 with RISP
• 16 Doubles
• 1 Triple
• 11 Homers
• 47 RBI

It doesn’t seem like much but 90% of those hits and runs were in huge situations.

Tatis, glad to have you back buddy.

There is absolutely nothing to do…. (besides homework but who cares)

• Baseball -> The Mets aren’t involved and the Phillies are a game away from winning the damn World Series – wack.

• Blogging -> There’s nothing to blog about but fake or uninteresting rumors – wack.

So I spend my days reading all my favorite Met blogs. I check each one like 5 times a day out of pure boredom and hope of finding some good news about a future trade or something among those lines.

On another note, the Jets won yesterday and we scored a touchdown with only like 2 minutes or something left in the 4th.
Oh yeahh babyyy.

AND AND! I made the school softball team Go me!

They’re Pissing Me Off…

The other day I was watching the Philies game and I saw a fan in the crowd holding up a sign that said “Ya Gotta Believe”

It drove me nuts. Who the hell do they think they are stealing our damn catchphrase. Show’s how much originality and inspiration Philly fans have that they cant even make up their own.

I kinda forgot about it and just now i was reading a blog from 213 Miles From Shea and they mentioned it – it brought back that anger in me for a moment.

Go Rays! Destroy the phillies. Pwn ‘em. Please!

Renewed Vows

I know this really has nothing to do with the Mets besides the fact it’s about a player but I’ll write about it anyways because it contains 2 things I love – Carlos Beltran & Celebrities.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez renewed their vows in the recently renovated ( more like, the day before) Caesars Palace’s Forum Tower Penthouse.

Anyways, the point is, right before them, Carlos Beltran and his wife did their thing.

Cute. But wouldn’t it be awesome if he could have been sporting two important rings by the end of the year, his wedding ring AND his NY Mets World Series Champions ring.

Yeahhhh..

It’s been a while since I posted a blog but there isn’t much to talk about. I mean, there is, but eh, I don’t care about other teams enough to blog about them and a lot of trade rumors that are just plain stupid *ahem* Carlos Beltran *ahem* aren’t worth my time.

In that case! I cant wait till next season. That’s when I’ll be able to blog most of the time since I’ll have stuff to talk about.

Phillies Vs. Brewers

Brewers hung on yesterday with a victory but all Phillie needs is a win, and so far, they’re winning. The game just started and it’s just one run off a Jimmy Rollins homer, but still, we all know how one run can make a huge difference in a game and the last thing I wanna see is the Phillies winning.

UPDATE:

The phillies are off to the NLCS for the first time since 93′. -_- Great.
